Begun in 1997, the Hillel Foundation at The Ohio State University Critical Issues Series is designed to promote critical thought and to provoke our community to engage more deeply with important current events and global issues. Building on the mission of the OSU Hillel Foundation to serve as an educational, cultural and social center, the Critical Issues Series brings to Columbus the finest journalists, entrepreneurs, political thinkers, social activists, scholars, and critics of our time.
Through formal lectures and informal dialogues, the community is invited to participate in programs that encourage discussion and engagement with contemporary issues and values that effect decisions of lifestyle, wellness, political choice, and ethical alternatives. The whole community, as well as students, benefits as they are treated to both substantive addresses on important issues and passionate expressions of involvement and commitment by these outstanding voices.
Tickets are free but required; they are available by calling Hillel at 614-294-4797.
