Josh Tolle

Director of Education

Josh is a native of Columbus, where he attended Columbus Torah Academy and The Ohio State University. At OSU he majored in English and Religious Studies. He earned his PhD in English and a graduate certificate in Judaic Studies at the University of Michigan. During his time at Michigan, Josh also studied at Tel Aviv University. After teaching as a postdoctoral fellow and assistant professor of English at DePauw University, Josh joined the OSU Hillel team. Here at Hillel he manages the education programming, including amazing paid fellowship programs like JLF and Shabbat Hosting Lab. In his free time, Josh is an avid reader, writer, and translator. His writing appears in the Jewish Review of Books, Texas Studies in Literature and Language, Asymptote, and the Marginalia Review of Books.
